Within the framework of the F-CUBED Horizon 2020 project, together with partners Delafruit and APPO, we were hosted in Sweden by TNO, Smurfit Kappa, and Swerim AB.
The goal of the visit was to prepare for the upcoming pilot campaigns in Italy (Bari) and Spain (Tarragona).
DAY 1 (14/09/2021)
At Smurfit Kappa in Piteå, the visit was supported by Stefan Lundqvist and Martin Viklund. The main focus was to see the TORWASH and Limburg Filter pilots, both fully operational on site. Heather Wray and Mark Visser from TNO showcased the installations and explained the testing procedures. This provided valuable operational insights and helped identify how best to support the upcoming campaigns.
DAY 2 (15/09/2021)
At Swerim AB in Luleå, Chuan Wang, Paul Cobden, Ludvig Ånnhagen, and Peter Skemark guided us through Swerim’s demo plants focused on innovations in the green steel industry.
Over the two days, the following F-CUBED representatives participated: Olga Kattan, Heather Wray, and Mark Visser (TNO); Ana Hernandez Riba, Ignacio López Escriu, and Juan Pablo López Pierdominici (Delafruit); Matteo Sorrenti, Gianvito Chimienti, and Antonio Giannini (APPO); and Marco Ugolini (CA.RE. FOR. Engineering).
