Within the framework of the F-CUBED Horizon 2020 project, together with TNO and Limburg Filter, APPO successfully hosted the long-duration test campaign for wet olive pomace treatment at the Frantoio Chimineti Olive Oil Mill in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy.
The TORWASH® pilot plant operated continuously for over 300 hours, exceeding the minimum requirement of 200 hours. During this period, 8,500 kg of TORWASH® effluent was produced, with a dry matter content ranging between 57-60%.
Initial on-site results indicate that more than 150 kg of TORWASH® press cake was produced—enough material for both pelletizing approximately 100 TORWASH® pellets and for consortium members to carry out further analyses.
