CA.RE. FOR. ENGINEERING IS DRIVEN BY PASSION, GUIDED BY STRATEGIC VISION, AND COMMITTED TO INNOVATION
CFE is committed to innovation and applied research in primary production sectors and bio-based industrial processes. Our mission is to transfer innovative, climate-friendly technical knowledge to national and international companies, supporting their transition toward sustainability and responsible management of greenhouse gas emissions.
The philosophy guiding CFE is built on three pillars:
- reducing emissions and promoting the sustainable, responsible management of environmental resources;
- converting conventional, high-impact economic activities into low-carbon solutions;
- disseminating and promoting awareness of the vital role of soil, ecosystems, and forests in sustaining human life.
The name “Care For”, in its English sense of taking care of, reflects the shared commitment of all those who work with us: contributing to the conservation of the planet’s natural resources and advancing the fight against climate change and global warming.
WE BRIDGE THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE THROUGH OUR DAILY WORK
Our daily work focuses on developing projects that actively contribute to climate change mitigation, in line with the principles of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Our support pursues the following key objectives:
• Protection and enhancement of carbon stocks in terrestrial ecosystems through sustainable land management, with a strong focus on forest ecosystems;
• Promotion of sustainable agriculture practices to improve soil health, productivity, and climate resilience;
• Advancement of renewable energy sources and support for their widespread adoption;
• Promotion of integrated CO₂ capture technologies, including Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), to remove or reuse industrial CO₂ emissions and accelerate the transition toward climate neutrality;
• Bridging the gap to a circular economy by promoting closed-loop solutions, resource efficiency, and low-impact technologies across value chains.
