Core Team and Associated Experts
Ca.RE. FOR. Engineering (CFE) is an independent professional association established in 2010 by Marco Ugolini, Forestry Engineer with a specialization in ecology, and Luca Pedocchi, PhD in Chemistry. Together, they bring more than 25 years of consolidated experience in environmental engineering, applied research, and sustainability-oriented consultancy.
CFE is structured into five specialized divisions and operates through an integrated model that combines a stable internal core with a wide and well-established professional network. This organization allows the company to couple scientific rigor and methodological depth with operational flexibility, ensuring robust, transparent, and reproducible results. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based analysis, clear technical communication, and the delivery of measurable environmental and socio-economic outcomes, with a strong commitment to reliability and professional integrity.
The team brings together multidisciplinary expertise spanning environmental engineering, chemistry, agronomy, and forestry sciences. CFE provides advanced support in environmental and social life cycle assessment (LCA and S-LCA), carbon footprinting, forest and biomass supply-chain analysis, sustainable agriculture, and resource-efficient process optimization.
Here, the core team of CFE is presented, representing the scientific and strategic backbone of the organization. In addition to this core, CFE actively collaborates with a broader group of senior experts, researchers, technical specialists, and young scientists who are selectively involved according to the specific objectives, scale, and disciplinary requirements of each project. This modular, project-driven team structure enables CFE to address complex challenges with the appropriate combination of competencies while maintaining high standards of scientific quality and methodological consistency.
