CA.RE. FOR. Engineering (acronym for Carbon Reduction and Forestry Engineering, or CFE in short) is an independent professional association that provides consultancy, design, and development services on environmental sustainability and social responsibility. It employs tools such as multicriteria sustainability assessment, life cycle analysis (LCA), supply chain sustainability, and sustainability planning, applied to the primary and industrial sectors of agriculture, forestry, and bioenergy.

We support the forest-wood supply chain in optimizing operations, innovating biomass production and transformation processes, and promoting sustainable certifications, efficient sourcing plans, and access to public funding.
Waste Water Treatments
We promote circular technologies that convert wastewater into valuable resources and offer consulting on sustainability and environmental impacts related to water reuse, thanks to our experience in European innovation projects.
Energy Intensive Industry
We provide LCA-based sustainability assessments for low-carbon technologies in energy-intensive industries (e.g. steel mill) and support companies in developing and managing European projects focused on COâ‚‚ reduction and circular biofuels.
Waste-to-Energy, Bioenergy and Biofules
We promote technologies that convert waste and biomass into circular energy carriers, reducing emissions and energy costs. We offer consulting on the sustainability of bioenergy and agri-forestry value chains.
Paper mills
We provide sustainability consulting and promote circular technologies that convert paper sludge into efficient solid energy carriers, offering improved performance compared to traditional pyrolysis for biogas production.
