After a long period of virtual meetings due to the pandemic, on July 29th, 2021, we had the opportunity to visit our partner TNO in Petten (NL) in person. It was the first face-to-face meeting since the start of the F-CUBED Project and it was very exciting.
We thank TNO for their hospitality and the fruitful discussions on the F-CUBED Project, as well as the exchange of ideas regarding its potential follow-up.
The visit to the pilot plant and the review of the installation arrangements were very informative and valuable for the upcoming phases of the project—both for implementing the LCA model and for conducting long-duration tests on paper sludge at Smurfit Kappa in Sweden, olive pomace at the Appo mill in Italy, and fruit & vegetable residues at Delafruit in Spain.
The day ended perfectly with a pleasant dinner at a restaurant on the North Sea coast.
