Since 2010, we have developed and continuously refined a sustainability management model for biofuel supply chains, covering the entire path from agricultural production (soybean, rapeseed, sunflower, and maize) to biofuel processing.
We have participated in several EU-funded projects focused on sustainable bioenergy, and supported leading industrial players such as Cereal Docks S.p.A., the first company in Italy to receive sustainability certification for agricultural biomass production under the 2BSvs Standard 1.

Context Analysis & Stakeholder Mapping
CFE begins by analyzing the local context—resources, envirinmental and socio-economic conditions. Key stakeholders across the value chain (from feedstock providers to end users) are identified to ensure inclusive and feasible system design.
Technical & Environmental Feasibility Assessment
CFE evaluates available biomass types, technologies, and logistics options. It integrates Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to quantify environmental impacts and optimize the supply chain for climate neutrality and resource efficiency.
Social Sustainability & Risk Analysis
Using Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), CFE assesses the potential social impacts on workers, communities, and value chain actors. It identifies risks (e.g., land use conflicts or labor rights issues) and defines mitigation strategies.
Tailored Strategy & Implementation Roadmap
Based on the assessments, CFE delivers a custom strategy including technology selection, business model design, regulatory alignment, and a step-by-step implementation roadmap tailored to the specific regional or national context.
